Understand the Course Codes

An Ontario high school course is identified by a5-character code that specifies its name,grade level, and type.
The first three letters are the subject abbreviation.
The number indicates thegrade: 1for Grade9,2 for Grade10,3for Grade 11,and 4 for Grade 12.
The fourth letter represents the course type: U for University preparation courses,and M for University/College preparation courses.
